The Company
 
This exciting and innovative studio is looking for a Gameplay Programmer to join them on their newest and most exciting adventure game. You will be part of the team involved in the design of the gameplay element of the game and contributing to the success of creating an engaging player experience.
 
The Role
 
This role will involve coding and designing various systems that will contribute to the success of the gameplay experience. The ideal candidate will have lots of knowledge and experience in the gaming industry and will have shipped several games and will share their knowledge with the other designers and programmers.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Collaborate with designers, artists and other engineers in developing features.
• Contribute regularly with the multi-disciplinary teams throughout the development cycle of the project.
• Optimize code and gameplay systems to ensure high performance.
• Collaborate with content and marketing teams in a cross-functional team.
• Motivate and lead a team of programmers through all development stages of the project.
• Provide technical support and expertise to your team and other programmers.

 
 
Knowledge/Skills:
 

• 4+ years of gameplay programmer experience AAA gaming industry experience
• Experience with Unreal Engine and C++ or C#
• Excellent C++ and OOP skills
• Prior experience working on AI and various gameplay systems (behaviour trees, main character, combat systems etc.)
• Bilingual - French and English, with strong written, verbal, and communication skills.
• Comfortable at collaborating with other teams in all aspects throughout the creative process.
