The Company: Our client is a leading crypto technology and infrastructure provider that enables institutional and enterprise use-cases for digital assets. Each month, billions of dollar value pass through their platform enabling a broad range of financial services for their clients.

The Role: They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Accounting team in Vancouver to help manage their growing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial reporting background with a focus on IFRS standards. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow with the company as operations expand across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting memos and process manuals
• Prepare intercompany working papers
• Assist in ad-hoc projects and internal reports requested by management
• Assist with month end reconciliations
• Prepare working papers and financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Liaise with accounting staff overseas for subsidiary entities to ensure timely and consistent reporting
• Assist with year end audit requirements and requests

Requirements: 

• Bachelor degree in commerce with a major in Accounting
• 5+years in accounting experience, preferably with revenue generating operations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
• High attention to detail and accuracy with problems solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure to meet deadlines
• Self motivated with ability to work independently

Bonus Points

• Experience working in an audit/assurance environment
• CPA designation
• Interest in cryptocurrency
