Project Manager

Job description

This respected government-affiliated organisation is dedicated to improving the wellbeing of Australians through community-focused services and innovative digital solutions. They are undergoing digital transformation to elevate internal systems and processes, hence the need for a dynamic Project Manager to lead strategic technology implementations across the organisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives and deliverables with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans including resource allocation and timelines.
  • Oversee the execution of technical and business projects, ensuring scope, budget and deadlines are met.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers to ensure quality and timelines.
  • Drive the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 FinOps and Customer Engagement (CE) modules, with a focus on inventory, payments, and procurement.
  • Work cross-functionally with business and IT teams to ensure requirements are captured and implemented effectively.
  • Coordinate testing and data validation, including integration with PowerBI or other reporting tools.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, escalating where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks and WHS policies.
  • Provide timely and transparent reporting to senior leadership.


Desired Skills and Attributes

  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager in IT environments.
  • Proven track record with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE and FinOps), ideally including procurement, payments or inventory implementations.
  • Experience working alongside vendors or systems implementation partners.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure tools such as AWS or Azure, and infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform.
  • Exposure to reporting and analytics platforms like PowerBI.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Solid understanding of risk and budget management.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP, Prince2 or other project management certification is highly regarded.
