The Role
As a Content Specialist you would play a critical role in crafting engaging, relevant and impactful content that resonates with the community. This position is responsible for driving initiatives and adapting strategies based on performance and market trends. The primary objective is content creation and management, content strategy development and overall digital presence and communication.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Own the execution of multi-platform social strategy and content calendar ensuring accuracy, freshness, searchability, and effectiveness across all of our content.
  • Create engaging and informative content that champions the brand and drives audience engagement including but not limited to videos, images and written copy.
  • Drive content marketing campaigns from idea to execution. Creating content yourself and also leveraging internal and external partners to bring your ideas to life.
  • Moderate content, messages and comments across platforms.
  • Produce compelling educational and informative video content that supports the customer journey through showcasing use of our products and features.
  • Be comfortable being one of the personalities representing the brand by featuring yourself within the content.
  • Deeply understand our target audience: general contractors, renovators, suppliers and trades in the residential construction industry in North America.
  • Immerse yourself in the online community and report back with persona insights and content recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to support GTM launches.
  • Evolve the content strategy, regularly taking an iterative approach to optimize based on performance metrics, persona and market insights and platform best practices and developments.
  • Collect customer feedback and drive continuous improvements around our brand and product positioning.
  • Devise new and creative content tactics to further reach our target audience and drive awareness and conversion to our organic channels.
  • Keep on top of the industry space, including what’s happening in the construction industry and in construction tech, who the key influencers are, and what the audience is interested in and being impacted by at the moment.
  • Own and regularly report on a set of performance metrics including insights into current results and opportunities for improvement.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines to maintain a strong, cohesive and memorable brand identity.
  • Integrate technology and creativity to produce eye-catching, informative content that stands out in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize AI-driven tools to enhance the creative process.
 
Requirements:
  • 4+ years’ experience working on a brand and representing the brand through digital storytelling.
  • Expert knowledge of all social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook and Snapchat.
  • Experience with creating personalized, effective messages for different target demographics.
  • Expert knowledge of video creation through programs, apps and TikTok.
  • Proficient in Canva, Figma, and/or Photoshop.
  • Keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail ensuring high quality deliverables.
  • Natural curiosity to explore fresh ideas and the confidence to speak up and share them verbally and in writing.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with superb attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English with excellent grammar and spelling, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to make decisions and deliver quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of social listening and relevant KPIs and analytics.
