Assembly Technician – Precision Coil Winding (Entry-Level Opportunity)

Job description

A growing high-tech manufacturer in Sydney’s south-east is seeking a precision-focused Assembly Technician to assist with the production of complex sensing components used in advanced positioning systems.

This role involves manual coil winding guided by a video magnification system and would suit someone who enjoys hands-on, detail-oriented work. You’ll be trained on the job, and no prior experience with fibre or electronics is required — just a steady hand, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual winding of ultra-fine material using camera-guided assembly stations
  • Follow detailed work instructions with consistency and accuracy
  • Operate standing for long periods (up to 7 hours per shift) in a production environment
  • Maintain quality and safety standards while contributing to a clean and efficient workspace
  • Collaborate with team leads to support continuous improvement in processes

Ideal Backgrounds

  • Experience in assembly, electronics, lab, medical devices, or cleanroom work
  • Previous work involving fine motor tasks under a camera or microscope
  • Stable, hands-on work history (e.g. production, packaging, assembly lines, etc.)
  • Physically fit and capable of standing while working for long durations

We’re Looking for Someone Who

  • Has excellent focus and manual precision
  • Can reliably follow step-by-step instructions
  • Is reliable, punctual, and works well in a team
  • Enjoys repetitive, process-driven work in a fast-paced environment
  • Is looking to grow within a structured, stable company in the tech manufacturing space

This is a great opportunity to break into the high-tech manufacturing sector. If you’re reliable, practical, and want to be part of something unique — we’d love to hear from you.
