This exciting new gaming start-up is in the process of making a state of the art VR game to be made playable on the Quest3 VR headset. Founded by veterans of the gaming industry, they aim to give a new lease of life to the VR space with this social racing game, incorporating sandbox physics and animated fun to enhance the gamers experience as you race against your friends, or soon to be made enemies!
The Role
The client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to review, re-engineer and refactor the existing code and suggesting improvements wherever you feel necessary throughout. The successful candidate will join a small but highly functioning team of gaming professionals and contribute to the team’s overall success, assuming the role of expert when it comes to all things programming related.

The Role

Responsibilities:
- Go deep into the existing code (C++) and review, revamp and re-engineer it accordingly.
- Architect and guide gameplay system development
- Ensure high standards for code quality through code reviews
- Identify and execute changes needed to the proprietary game engine
- At least 8 years of C++ programming experience, a very high level C++ expert is required.
- Previous gaming industry experience or at least a passion for gaming and experience in related industries
- Experience with Proprietary gaming engines preferred
