The Role:

As a Senior Physics Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and optimization of physics simulation systems to support high-precision physical interaction between characters, objects, and environments in our clients AAA action games.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement and optimize a high-fidelity physics system to empower our action games with precise and robust physics simulation.
  • Collaborate with designers and other engineers to understand their physics simulation requirements, current limitations, and future vision.
  • Analyze existing physics systems, third-party tools, and engine capabilities, understand technological limitations and develop solutions to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in the game.
  • Solve complex real-time physics problems and partner with the animation engineering team to develop and improve our physics-based animation solutions.
  • Optimize the real-time execution of physics simulation while maintaining a high level of quality and precision.
  • Develop new solutions to facilitate the debugging and optimization processes of the physics system.
  • Onboard, mentor and support your fellow software engineering teammates.
  • Research and develop novel game physics techniques and share your knowledge with partnering game teams and the whole company.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a software engineer in the games industry with multiple published titles.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a dedicated/senior/lead physics engineering position.
  • Excellent C++ knowledge with demonstrated experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern video game physics simulation techniques, systems and tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of 3D math and physics, with strong memory management, multi-threading, optimization and cross-platform development skills.
  • Strong knowledge of high-end PC and console game development, deployment, and debugging.
  • Ability to write clear and well-structured code, review and maintain high standards of code quality.
  • Strong communication, proactivity, conflict resolution and collaboration skills.
