Job description

Role Overview:

As the Director of Sales, you will oversee two critical teams: Account Executives (AEs) dedicated to acquiring new mid-market customers and a Sales Development Representative (SDR) team supporting these efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement sales strategies that align with our client's objectives, particularly focusing on achieving an Average Revenue per Account (ARR) of $10,000 or more.


You will drive sales performance, foster a high-performing sales culture, and ensure the attainment of key business goals by optimizing the sales process, coaching your teams, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance sales effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Account Executives and SDRs.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company goals.
  • Monitor and report on sales metrics and performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the sales team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.


Success Metrics:


For the Account Executives:

  • Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) from New Logo Acquisition
  • Conversion Ratios (lead-to-opportunity, opportunity-to-close)
  • Sales Cycle Length


For the SDRs:

  • Number of Qualified Leads (SQLs) Generated
  • Conversion Rate from MQL to SQL
  • Number of Meetings Booked
  • Activity Metrics


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Director or in a similar senior sales leadership role, preferably in a B2B SAAS environment.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to manage and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
