Job description
Resource Manager | Digital Agency | Tech/Create Resource Allocation | Remote (MT Hours) | $75,000 - $90,000 + Benefits
The Company
This full-service marketing agency merges strategic insight, creative storytelling, and cutting-edge technology to deliver impactful digital solutions. With a national footprint and a team of 100+ professionals, they thrive on executing complex, multi-channel campaigns that demand cross-disciplinary collaboration and operational precision. They don’t do micromanagement — they hire smart people, give them space, and back them with resources, humour, and a bit of grit.
The Role
They are looking for a sharp, autonomous Resource Manager who thrives in fast-paced, project-driven environments. This person will be responsible for the allocation and optimisation of both tech and creative talent across a dynamic portfolio of work. You’ll need to be a confident communicator, able to engage with senior stakeholders and department leads, and a bit of banter definitely won’t hurt. This is a fully remote role, preferably based in Western Canada, but open to anyone nationwide who can work on Mountain Time hours.
The Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end allocation of staff across all departments and projects, balancing expertise, availability, and deadlines
- Manage centralised scheduling and ensure real-time visibility into current and upcoming resourcing across the business
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, project managers, and department leads to define resourcing needs and match the right people to the right work
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and project timelines, reallocating talent efficiently
- Coordinate resourcing for both creative and technical disciplines, ensuring cross-functional teams are staffed appropriately
- Analyse utilisation data to drive hiring decisions, capacity planning, and process improvements
- Support the onboarding of new staff and ensure team members have the tools, access, and documentation they need to succeed
- Maintain software systems and resource management tools (NetSuite experience is a major plus)
- Act as a systems enabler: troubleshooting access, flagging bottlenecks, and eliminating workflow friction
- Champion a positive, respectful, and open culture where people feel heard and enabled to do their best work
The Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in resource or traffic management, preferably in a creative or tech agency setting
- Proven ability to manage both technical and creative resources across varied disciplines
- Confident working with executives and senior stakeholders, with clear, calm, and candid communication
- Hands-on experience with resource planning platforms (NetSuite or equivalent)
- Proactive problem-solver with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Comfortable working remotely, managing your own workload, and juggling multiple priorities with autonomy
- A natural collaborator who can see the big picture and still catch the small stuff
- Bonus points for a sense of humour and the ability to roll with the occasional curveball
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 CAD per year, commensurate with experience
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health and wellness coverage
- Remote Work Flexibility: Work from anywhere in Canada, with priority given to those in Western regions who can easily align to MT hours
- Work Culture: A no-nonsense, collaborative team that balances getting sh*t done with keeping things human and real
Why Apply
If you’re someone who gets a thrill from spinning chaos into clarity, aligning people to purpose, and making projects run like a well-oiled machine — this gig is for you. This is your chance to join a smart, driven team who care about their craft and trust you to do the same.
