Project Manager - Managed Services

This well-established, government-affiliated organisation is known for delivering exceptional public-facing services with a focus on health and wellbeing. With a strong reputation for innovation and community impact, they are embarking on a technology-led transformation and seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee a critical managed services transition. This role is a fixed-term opportunity designed to ensure smooth delivery of complex IT service transitions, while contributing to long-term service excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables
  • Create and manage detailed project plans and resource allocations
  • Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate task execution
  • Engage with internal IT teams and external vendors for seamless project delivery
  • Identify, manage and escalate risks proactively
  • Communicate progress regularly to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure documentation complies with internal project frameworks
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure high satisfaction
  • Monitor budgets and ensure project delivery within financial targets
  • Adhere to compliance and workplace health and safety standards


Desired Skills and Attributes

  • 2+ years’ experience in project management
  • Proven track record in delivering tech projects, particularly involving WAN, managed services, or service monitoring
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and project management tools
  • Skilled in risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle conflict resolution
  • Holds or is working towards a PMP, PRINCE2, or similar qualification
  • Resilient, collaborative and outcome-focused
