The Role:

An experienced AI leader is needed to drive the consultancy’s AI practice, setting the strategic direction and building a scalable foundation for long-term success. This role will oversee the development of an AI Centre of Excellence, guide both internal innovation and external solution delivery, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise teams. The ideal candidate brings a rare blend of deep technical acumen, consultative experience, and the ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with business growth and delivery objectives
• Establish and lead an AI Centre of Excellence to support scalability, governance, and innovation
• Drive AI engagements with enterprise partners through workshops, assessments, and strategic roadmaps
• Oversee the design and delivery of AI-powered tools, including chatbots, analytics platforms, and generative content engines
• Create reusable AI components and delivery accelerators to support faster implementation cycles
• Champion internal adoption of AI through education initiatives and cross-functional pilot projects
• Build and lead a high-impact team of data scientists, engineers, and AI ethics specialists
• Act as a public-facing leader, contributing to thought leadership, conferences, and technical marketing content

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in AI, data science, or machine learning, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong background in tech professional services with proven ability to deliver client-facing AI solutions
• Advanced expertise in NLP, predictive analytics, and generative AI technologies
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and frameworks such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, and related APIs
• Proficiency in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar machine learning tools
• Skilled in deploying AI solutions using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform)
• Familiarity with building scalable data pipelines and leveraging AI for operational decision-making
• Strong grasp of AI governance, responsible AI practices, and ethical considerations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage executive stakeholders and translate complex ideas into business outcomes.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in financial services, education, or digital transformation industries
• Background in developing AI applications for risk analysis, customer engagement, or process automation
• Familiarity with MVP-based delivery, agile environments, and LLM governance practices
• Knowledge of digital banking platforms (Backbase, EbankIT, Veripark etc) and their integration with AI tools.
