The Role:
 
As a Machine Learning Research Engineer in the gaming studio, you will embark on a thrilling journey to innovate and enhance player experiences through cutting-edge machine learning technologies. Collaborating closely with game developers, designers, and data scientists, you will drive the research and development of machine learning solutions that revolutionize gameplay and interactivity. This role requires a deep passion for gaming, a keen analytical mindset, and a commitment to creating immersive and player-centric experiences.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct extensive research and development of machine learning algorithms and models tailored to gaming applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex technical challenges and opportunities.
  • Prototype, design, and implement machine learning solutions to elevate player experiences and game dynamics.
  • Continuously assess and optimize machine learning models to enhance in-game performance and player engagement.
  • Analyze and process gaming data to extract meaningful insights and generate predictive models.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in machine learning, AI, and gaming research.
  • Share research findings and insights with the team, contributing to a culture of knowledge exchange and innovation.
  • Work cross-functionally with partners from games studio, engineers, scientists, and product leaders, to help identify and prioritize opportunities and problem requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical leadership, designers, artists, animators and engineers to determine where and how to best apply machine learning concepts to different pipelines and workflows within game development
  • Create proof-of-concept prototypes
  • Scale prototypes into production quality tools/solutions
 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience with machine learning
  • Knowledge of standard machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, and Pandas
  • Strong sense of ownership and initiative
  • Proficient in C++
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, portable code
  • Knowledge of technical areas of game development
  • Prior experience working with Proprietary Technology
