The Role
As a Machine Learning/Deep Learning (ML/DL) Researcher specializing in Mathematics and Statistics, you'll pioneer advancements in generative music AI systems. Your responsibilities include conducting groundbreaking research, creating innovative algorithms, and publishing influential findings at the intersection of AI and music technology. Collaborating with a team of specialists, you'll tackle complex challenges and drive transformative technologies, shaping the future of the music industry.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in ML/DL research, emphasizing mathematical and statistical foundations.
• Apply advanced mathematical concepts to enhance model performance. Conduct rigorous theoretical analyses to refine ML/DL models.
• Develop models contributing to generative music AI systems.
• Utilize statistical techniques for data analysis and modeling.
• Enhance methods for inference and decision-making.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate research into practical applications.
• Share knowledge through publications and conferences.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in ML/DL, mathematics, and statistics.
• Identify and tackle new research challenges, driving innovation.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a highly quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related area, with a strong focus on machine learning or deep learning
• Deep understanding of and experience with advanced mathematical and statistical theories and techniques
• Knowledge and/or experience with XAI (explainable AI) techniques and practices is an asset
• Demonstrated track record of research in machine learning, deep learning, or related fields, with publications in top-tier journals or conferences
• Experience with Transformers and Latent Diffusion models for generative music and audio is a strong asset, as is understanding and/or background in music performance, production, or composition and audio processing
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in research (e.g., Python, R) and familiarity with ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative and critical thinking mindset
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts and collaborate with diverse team.
