The Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced LLM Engineer for a full-time, on-site position in Toronto. This role is pivotal in the development and deployment of AI systems that empower next-generation home robotics. You will be responsible for creating and refining AI algorithms, with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Working collaboratively with hardware and software engineers, you will ensure seamless integration of AI systems with physical components, enabling reliable, real-world functionality. Requirements:

  • AI & Machine Learning (5+ years): Extensive experience in designing and developing machine learning models, with a focus on LLMs, NLP, and automation. Proficiency in frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face is essential.
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) (5+ years): Proven ability to develop conversational AI systems and fine-tune language models for robotic interaction.
  • Large Language Models (LLMs): Demonstrated expertise in training, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs for practical applications.
  • Data Set Creation: Hands-on experience in creating, managing, and optimizing large datasets for training machine learning models.
  • Hardware Integration: Familiarity with working closely with sensors, actuators, and other hardware components to ensure AI compatibility and performance.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and experience with C++ or other relevant languages for building and deploying AI solutions.
  • Education: PhD in AI, Robotics, Computer Science, or related fields. .


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement AI algorithms for language understanding, decision-making, and interaction in robotic systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate AI with hardware components, ensuring seamless operation and reliability.
  • Design and optimize machine learning models for tasks involving LLMs and natural language understanding in home automation systems.
  • Create and maintain datasets to train and validate AI models.
  • Conduct testing and refinement of AI systems to ensure real-world applicability and robustness.
  • Research and apply the latest advancements in AI and LLMs to enhance product functionality.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with AI prototyping and simulation for real-time applications.
  • Knowledge of reinforcement learning for decision-making in autonomous systems.
  • Expertise in cloud and edge AI deployments for smart home environments.
