The Role
This studio is looking for their newest Lead Animation Engineer to join the team and help them to build a new in-game animation system in their new engine for the studios exciting AAA project. Work alongside the team of Technical Artists, Animators and Gameplay Engineers helping to ensure the smooth roll out of new features, the implementation of animation content (in-game characters etc) and features.

The Role
This studio is looking for their newest Lead Animation Engineer to join the team and help them to build a new in-game animation system in their new engine for the studios exciting AAA project. Work alongside the team of Technical Artists, Animators and Gameplay Engineers helping to ensure the smooth roll out of new features, the implementation of animation content (in-game characters etc) and features.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the animation systems team helping to design animation technology.
- Blend new technologies into the engine and pipeline.
- Work with the tools team to create animation tools and pipelines.
- Work with gameplay and furnish them with an interface that allows them to interact with animation.
- Develop vital animation components.
- Assist and mentor more junior team members.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge and experience with proprietary game engines.
- 7 + years experience working in the AAA gaming industry or entertainment industry.
- Shipped at least 1 AAA game title.
- Expert knowledge of real-time animation systems.
- Experience developing or working with animation blend graphs, real-time IK, animation compression, and/or advanced animation memory management (streaming).
- Ability to work alongside other team members to solve and better and issues that may arise.
- Excellent programming skills (C++ etc) and Coding experience (Python, Java, other)
- Experience with animation systems in network games is a major plus.
- Nice to have: Degree in Computer Science or related degree.
- Excellent communication skills, and a big team player.
