The Company:

A well-established North American technology leader is seeking a driven IT Infrastructure Manager to join their dynamic team. The Role:

The IT Infrastructure Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and operation of core IT infrastructure, spanning servers, networking, storage, and cloud services. This leader will guide a dedicated infrastructure team, manage vendor relationships, and drive modernization projects including cloud migrations and system upgrades. The role also plays a critical part in ensuring infrastructure security, compliance, and resilience, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the infrastructure team, providing technical direction, workload prioritisation, and career development.
• Manage major infrastructure initiatives including system upgrades, cloud adoption, and data centre migrations.
• Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap, aligning with business needs and emerging technologies.
• Oversee infrastructure operations across hybrid environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and standardisation across sites.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets tied to infrastructure services.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, oversee vulnerability management, and respond to security incidents in collaboration with external SOC teams.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.
• Develop and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, SOPs, and asset inventories.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Windows server environments (Active Directory, domain services); familiarity with Unix/Linux an asset.
• Proficiency in networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Solid understanding of IT security principles, compliance, and audit processes.
• Proven track record managing distributed teams and cross-site infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure or VMware considered an asset.
