The Role


As a Communications Specialist, this role requires a creative and strategic thinker who excels in crafting compelling narratives and messaging that align with the company's brand vision. The position involves working closely with the brand marketing team to develop and execute communication strategies across various channels, including digital, print, and social media. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of brand communication and a passion for storytelling, helping to elevate the company's presence and engagement with its audience. You will be instrumental in increasing the company's brand exposure and trust, driving community outreach, and generating meaningful connections with their community. You will have both the ability to listen and draw stories from

customers and the community, with both empathy and tact.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that support brand marketing objectives.
  • Generate ideas and identify key moments in time for creative storytelling opportunities to drive engagement across key internal groups and external audiences.
  • Craft clear, persuasive, and engaging content for a variety of platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, and press releases.
  • Interview relevant audiences for genuine and compelling stories that relate to our brands’ missions, with accuracy, emotion, and relatability as key anchors.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s social media presence, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather content and insights for external communication efforts.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of communication campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously refine communication strategies.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a communications or content creation role, preferably within the health and wellness sector.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong portfolio of work and a passion for storytelling.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management and content creation tools.
  • Strong understanding of brand voice and the ability to maintain consistency across all communication channels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • A proactive approach to managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Must have access to a vehcile, and be willing to work either evenings or weekends when needed.
