A rapidly growing MSP based out of the Gold Coast, Brisbane & Toowoomba is looking for a mid-level Systems Administrator to join their team.

Systems Administrator:

About the Role:
 
As a System Administrator, you will resolve a variety of technical issues and provide systems and network support both remotely and on-site, via phone and remote support for a range of clients across Australia. Their team is diverse and fast-paced, they want you to help us keep the pace and solve problems. They are looking for someone who can give modern and informed solutions and are willing to take the initiative to solve issues before they arise. 
 
 
The Successful Candidate Will Have Experience In:
 
You will have 3 – 5 years of experience in a Systems Administration role working with a Managed Service Provider and within a fast-paced environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will possess strong troubleshooting and administration abilities, including:
  • Active Directory 
  • Windows Server 2016 - 2022 
  • DNS, DHCP 
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure administration 
  • VLAN, WLAN, and WAN network topologies 
  • VMWare ESXi administration 
  • Experience with VoIP is highly desirable 
  • Sophos' full product suite is highly desirable 
 
 
Responsibilities Include: 
  • Network infrastructure both physical and virtual. 
  • Server and storage management 
  • Service virtualisation as fit for purpose. 
  • User and group policy/management. 
  • Spec and setup of multi-site infrastructure. 
  • Proactive monitoring and optimisation of what you implement. 
  • Data and network security. 
 
 
Skills and Experience:
  • Understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing/subnetting and firewall technologies 
  • Excellent technical diagnostics and resolution skills 
  • Ability to pick up new concepts quickly 
  • Flexible to alternate solutions 
  • You will be a strong Systems Administrator with a solid background working within an MSP environment 
  • The ability to provide Level 2 and 3 IT Support across the Clients they work for – they are after a team player 
  • Provide Leadership, advice and resolutions on complex technical, strategic, system and network issues 
  • Scoping and managing projects with a strong view on collaboration and stakeholder satisfaction 
  • Maintaining relationships with external vendors 
  • Exceptional interpersonal & customer service skills – strong communication skills are a must. 
  • Exceptionally strong organisational & time management skills 
  • Monitor and manage network security and integrity for their clients, ensuring consistent performance and upkeep of their network environment 
  • Support sales and new business development initiatives and lead the growth of new relationships 
  • Drive staff and client satisfaction 
  • Drive efficiency and profitability 
  • Design, implementation and management of MS Server environments (Including Exchange/O365) 
  • Virtualisation of server and network infrastructure, particularly VMWare 
  • Deployment and management of network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) 
  • Storage experience (e.g. SAN, NAS, CIFS) is an advantage. 
  • Configuration and management of network hardware (Switches, Routers, Access Points) 
  • Ability to physically carry and move IT equipment 
  • 3 - 5 years minimum experience in a similar role 
  • Broad technical skills across IT Infrastructure, in particular, across the Networking and Server environment. 
  • Good orientation in server infrastructure 
  • Experience managing and implementing IT projects 
  • Network, Cloud and telephony technology experience

  • Be willing to undertake a Police Background check.

This is a full-time position working on the beautiful Gold Coast. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm (excluding public holidays).
