Med Tech Business Development Manager

They are seeking a Sales / Business Development Manager to drive the growth of supplier and pharmacy accounts.


Key Responsibilities:


Market Expansion and Account Management:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on supplier and pharmacy accounts.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Australian pharmacy ecosystem, including local and global brands.

• Conduct market research to understand customer needs and identify potential growth areas.


Sales Strategy and Execution:

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth.

• Lead sales presentations and negotiations with prospective clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and the company’s value proposition.

• Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.


Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions to clients.

• Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams to address any issues, concerns, or feedback.

• Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s offerings and build industry connections.


Strategic Planning and Reporting:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan in line with the company’s strategic objectives.

• Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market feedback to senior leadership.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with new business opportunities and market changes.


Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking within the team, encouraging creative solutions to business challenges.


Leadership and Team Development:

• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

• Lead by example, demonstrating strong ethical standards, professionalism, and commitment to the company’s mission and values.


Desired Skills and Attributes:


• Over 3 years of experience in sales roles within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or technology sectors.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.

• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective sales strategies.

• Experience in managing and expanding accounts within the pharmaceutical industry.

• Ability to lead by example and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.

• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with product development, marketing, and customer support teams.

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Australian pharmacy ecosystem.

• Proficiency in Sales Management CRMs such as HubSpot or Salesforce.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating compelling presentations.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Word for document creation and management.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think creatively and solve complex business challenges.
