In this role, you ensure the team remains productive by providing IT support to a growing global company. You will enable the company to grow at scale by collaborating with your team and other departments to ensure the support process is efficient and effective.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT support for a large team of staff, by telephone, face to face or online
- Set up and manage IT hardware, software and user accounts for new starters, including remote setup for team members based outside of Sydney
- Support the IT team to monitor and maintain technical infrastructure, storage and network traffic to optimise performance and efficiency across the business
- Support deployment of new systems and manage/support IT projects as required
- Support and maintain cyber security compliance
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our IT documentation and policies
- Manage IT assets, including asset registers, storage and repairs
- Procure and manage office IT equipment, such as teleconference equipment, PCs and screens.
- Manage a mix of Linux and Windows servers and clients (including Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, print services), Google Workspace, Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Zabbix, File Server (ReadyNAS and TrueNAS based), Ubiquiti networking equipment and backup systems.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in a related technical field is a nice to have
- 1 - 3 years of relevant IT help desk / support experience
- Experience working in a security-critical environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management, driven to work quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux, security-oriented networking, virtualisation, and hybrid (cloud and on-site) hosting of internal and client facing services
