About My Client:
 
My client is an Australian Telco that specialises in cloud services for business and government. Locally owned and operated, with an industry-leading customer service model, they're trusted by our customers to provide the services that enable their business success.
 
 
Purpose of the Position:
 
As a Business Analyst, your role will be to work closely with the business service delivery and operations business team to capture high-level requirements for process and system development and maintenance, translate them into cost-effective functional specifications and work with business and IT Systems stakeholders' solutions through to go-live.  
 
This role holds ownership of all service delivery process flows, system documentation and training documentation, providing a conduit for business needs to be elaborated and communicated to IT Business analysts for system development if required. 
 

What We Need:
  • Business process documentation experience
  • 5 years experience working in IT or Telecommunications operations. 
  • Business Analysis experience (2 years min)
  • API integration experience 
  • Telco and/or cloud products.
 
What We Would Love:
  • Agile methodology – has been part of an agile delivery team
  • Systems development experience
  • Mobile product development.
  • Telco and/or cloud billing experience.
 
Your Capabilities:
  • Good interpersonal skills – Able to work effectively in a team comprising both IT and business experts. Ability to engage stakeholders and business users at all levels.
  • Highly developed communications skills both written and oral (articulate with good language skills) and will have strong listening and questioning talents.
  • Proven track record of conceptual/strategic thinking ability and strong customer/consumer awareness.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects abilities to manage competing priorities. Is able to work well under pressure to deliver quality service.
  • Is a self-managed person who has the initiative and drives to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to specify interfaces using knowledge of XML; document requirements and system design using UML; document business process using BPMN (Pega skills desirable); produce logical data models suitable for implementation in an RDBMS. Strong SQL skills.
  • Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal customers; enjoys customer contact, establishes and maintains effective relationships and gains trust and respect.
  • Practices attentive and active listening; has the patience to hear people out; can accurately restate the opinions of others even when he/she disagrees. Listens and checks before acting.
  • Practices self-development. Staying up to date with the latest industry and technology advances.
