This Connected TV (CTV) AdTech powerhouse is the Ad Monetisation arm of a well-known and global electronics company, leveraging proprietary real-time TV viewing behaviour and insights to promote relevant brands and content experiences to consumers. They partner with brands, agencies, and content owners to deliver unique advertising opportunities on native placements within their CTV platform. Their unique first party data help brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, mobile, tablets and their Smart TVs. The ad platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory.
  
The Position:
  
Based in Sydney this position will be reporting directly into to the Head of Agency Sales. The ideal Sales Manager will be focused on growing programmatic revenue for owned-and-operated inventory including their CTV native platform/OTT service. The individual must be a motivated self-starter responsible for building and growing relationships with advertisers, agencies, and agency trading desks across the country. The right person is equally comfortable partnering with existing customers on a programmatic opportunity and driving revenue from new prospects.

The individual should have a deep technical understanding of the ins and outs of programmatic media buying including but not limited to: trading tactics, device graphs, inventory sources, 1st and 3rd party data onboarding/matching, and auction mechanics. This understanding will be crucial in delivering successful platform solutions to current and new clients. This individual should have existing relationships across both programmatic buying and video/digital strategy and investment teams at the major agencies and holding companies, including key senior level contacts. This account manager must be able to think strategically, anticipate how buying decisions are made, uncover the business needs of key clients, and have a proven ability to drive spend through Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) and Private Marketplace (PMP) channels. This position will carry an annual revenue goal.
  
Lastly, you should have a passion for video, advanced TV, and the rapidly changing way consumers are viewing premium content across all screens. It’s key to have a pulse on how the media agency community is thinking about and allocating client spend to programmatic channels and what solutions they need to do so more seamlessly.


Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with named advertisers, agencies, and agency trading desks
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of the platform, capabilities, and unique inventory across the wider brand ecosystem
  • Create a plan to build and grow the programmatic business with named agencies and accounts
  • Continuously provide value to your customers and serve as a trusted consultant to drive advertising growth with the business
  • Monitor daily run rate across assigned accounts and work with product and support teams to troubleshoot any issues
  • Act as an internal champion for your advertising customers across the business
  
  
Experience/Skills:
  • 7+ years of industry experience selling or using advertising platforms on both the supply side (e.g. SpotX, Telaria) and the demand side (e.g. Adobe, Amazon, Google, The Trade Desk, or Verizon Media). Video Publisher experienced in highly regarded for this position.
  • Agency or agency trading desk experience overseeing, implementing, and using advertising technology across a large number of brand accounts
  • Deep understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem – particularly in connected TV video
  • Proven experience working with Direct & Independent Agencies
  • Proven experience driving revenue and fostering relationships within independent agencies
  • Proven track record of securing and growing programmatic spend from advertisers and agencies via Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) and Private Marketplace (PMP)
  • Successful internal and external relationship management
  • Experience working in both entrepreneurial and established corporate cultures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
  • Talent at explaining complex topics in simple terms in person or over the phone
  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
